Adopt a Loving Dog from the Winnipeg Humane Society

The Winnipeg Humane Society is opening adoptions for a group of dogs recently rescued from a challenging situation. Thanks to their incredible efforts, five of these dogs are now healthy and ready for adoption.

Just last week, 68 dogs were rescued from a house in Richmond West. The Winnipeg Humane Society and Animal Services provided immediate medical care and grooming. Now, these dogs are looking for loving homes.

If you've been thinking about adopting, now is the perfect time. More dogs will become available soon, so keep an eye on their website or call 204-892-2035 for updates.

Ready to open your heart and home? Click the button below to adopt one of these wonderful dogs.

What's Happening in Winnipeg?

New Spray Pad at Corydon Community Centre:

Just in time for summer, a new spray pad has opened at the Corydon Community Centre. This 3,000-square-foot area includes a playground, concrete pathways, seating areas, and more. Funded by the City of Winnipeg and federal and provincial programs, it’s a perfect spot for families to cool off and have fun.

Wildwood Bear Relocated:

Remember that bear spotted in Wildwood? Conservation officers safely tranquilized and relocated it after it spent hours in a tree. The bear was seen roaming around Manchester Blvd before it was moved to a safer location outside the city. Crisis averted!

More Rain on the Way:

Keep your umbrellas handy, Winnipeg! More wet weather is expected, with heavy rain all day today. We've already surpassed May's average rainfall, and more is on the way. Stay dry and watch out for potential localized flooding.

Taco Week and Margarita Madness:

Foodies, rejoice! Taco Week and Margarita Madness are back from May 31 to June 9. Enjoy delicious tacos and margaritas at various local spots, with $1 from every sale going to local charities. It’s a great way to treat yourself and support the community!

Winnipeg's Population Growth:

Winnipeg is growing! According to a new report, our population hit 820,474 in 2023, up from 789,750 in 2022. Including the surrounding areas, the CMA population is now over 910,000. More people, more vibrancy, and more reasons to love our city!

Exciting Events This Weekend:

Nothing in this section is sponsored. They're just the things you need to know. I'll always let you know when something's sponsored.
