House Explosion in Transcona

Source: Reddit r/Winnipeg

If you're in the Transcona area, you probably heard the loud noise on Wednesday morning. At 11:19 a.m., a house on Camrose Bay exploded, scattering debris everywhere and leaving only the foundation standing. The blast ignited fires in nearby homes and garages.

Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service quickly controlled the situation using aerial ladders and drones. Manitoba Hydro shut off gas to nearby properties as a precaution. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, and a dog was rescued from a neighboring home. However, it's unclear if anyone was inside the destroyed house. Residents should avoid the area for now.
