If you thought last week's smoky skies were behind us, hang on to that air quality app a little longer. There's a chance wildfire smoke drifts back into Winnipeg over the next few days.

Winnipeg is expected to see temperatures near 30°C, with humidex values climbing into the upper 30s.

While air quality isn't expected to reach warning levels in southern Manitoba, smoke and haze could still drift into the city throughout the day.

Even without an air quality warning, it's still worth paying attention to how the air feels, especially if you have asthma or another respiratory condition.

With another stretch of hot weather ahead, it's also a good reminder to check in on older neighbours, family members, and households with young children. Sometimes a quick call or visit is all it takes to make sure everyone is staying cool and safe.

If you've been driving to another Walmart while the St. Vital location was closed, you can finally head back to your usual store.

After nearly three weeks, the store reopened and welcomed customers back yesterday, July 23rd, following a fire that forced it to close earlier this month.

The July 6 fire caused more than $10 million in damage. Police later arrested a 47-year-old man, who now faces several charges, including arson.

The store has now reopened and returned to its regular hours, although Walmart says some departments and products may still have limited availability as operations get back to normal.

If you're planning a visit, it's worth checking with the store for the latest updates before you head out.
