Tough Night for the Jets: Down 3-1

Oh, Winnipeg. Last night was tough. Our Jets gave it their all but still came up short, and now we're behind 3-1 in the series against the Avalanche.

Our team looked better with handling the puck and staying out of the penalty box, but Colorado just found a way to get those goals in. It’s a bummer, but hey, our Jets aren't the type to just give up.

Even though we didn’t win, everyone in town is still backing our team 100%. We know they can pull off a comeback. We’ve seen them do amazing things before, so let’s not lose hope. Hang in there, keep cheering, and let’s show our Jets we believe in them. Go Jets Go!

Winnipeg Firefighters Battle 5 Fires Overnight

Let’s hear it for our amazing fire crews who tackled five fires early Saturday morning. They faced a busy night but managed to keep everyone safe, with no injuries reported.

  • Sutherland Avenue: They dealt with a fire in a previously damaged industrial building in Point Douglas.

  • Inkster Boulevard: A quick response brought a warehouse fire under control in just minutes.

  • Dufferin Avenue: Firefighters managed a challenging situation with multiple vehicles on fire and damaged electrical lines.

  • Manitoba Avenue: A vacant home was swiftly handled to prevent further damage.

  • Flora Avenue: The night ended with a garage fire that was quickly extinguished.

Big thanks to our Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service for their hard work and dedication. Your efforts didn't go unnoticed, and we’re all grateful. Stay safe and keep up the great work!
