Winnipeg Jets Win in Whiteout Party Opener

Jets Soar to Victory: Winnipeg Beats Avalanche in Playoff Thriller

What a night, Winnipeg! Our Jets soared to an epic victory against the Colorado Avalanche at the first Whiteout Party of the playoffs. Donald Street was buzzing with energy as thousands of fans celebrated the win, bringing a fantastic boost to local businesses and the downtown vibe.

From the delicious puck-shaped treats at Chocolatier Constance Popp to the custom belt bags raising funds for the True North Youth Foundation, everyone stepped up their game for this playoff run.

This win isn’t just a great start to our playoff journey; it’s a testament to the strength and passion of our community. Let’s carry this energy forward and show the world what Winnipeg is made of. Go Jets Go!

Support Local: $300 Dollar Credit!

Ready to make your homes and small businesses safer? Justice Minister Matt Wiebe just announced a cool $300 rebate to help you do just that! You can use this cash to buy security cameras, motion detectors, or even those tough reinforced doors.

Starting this June, you can apply for the rebate, and it's first-come, first-served—so don’t sleep on it! Plus, if you bought any qualifying gear since last September, you're covered too.

Just a heads up, though—if you’ve got multiple properties, you can only claim the rebate for one spot.

Winnipeg Worker with a $2M Apple Heist

A 30-year-old guy working at a parcel delivery company stole nearly $2 million worth of Apple gadgets over a few months.

The whole thing blew up when a co-worker spilled the beans to the cops. On January 22, the police charged our man, now dubbed Mr. Sticky Fingers, with a whole list of theft charges.

After the cops raided his house and car, they hit the jackpot—finding all kinds of stolen stuff and a stash of cash. Turns out, he’d been busy banking over $900,000 from his sneaky sales. Talk about a tech heist!
