Sea Bears Gear Up for Exciting Home Opener

The Winnipeg Sea Bears are ready to light up Canada Life Centre this Friday for their home opener. After an incredible inaugural season, they’re back and more pumped than ever.

Last year, the Sea Bears shattered records, with their first game drawing a crowd of 7,303 fans and setting a season attendance record of 65,609. They finished second in the Western Conference and continued to impress throughout the season.

If you didn’t get a chance to catch them last year, now’s the time! Friday’s home opener against the Scarborough Shooting Stars is already sold out, but their next game is on June 1.

New Winnipeg Transit Plus Booking System

Exciting changes are coming to Winnipeg Transit Plus, making it easier than ever to book your trips. With a new mobile and web app, plus an automated phone service, getting around is about to become a whole lot simpler and more efficient.

The new system, promises to remove barriers in the current booking system. It will allow for more trip requests, better route planning, and increased ridesharing options. Plus, you’ll be able to make e-cash payments, with a one-time transfer of up to $200 from Transit Plus accounts to e-cash.

From June 11 to 18, you’ll start noticing changes in how you book your trips. By June 18, the automated phone service with voice response technology will be live. The mobile app will be available to everyone by July 9, with early access for a select group.
