Weather for the Weekend:

68 Dogs Rescued from Terrible Conditions

On Wednesday, animal services rescued 68 dogs from a Winnipeg home in awful conditions.

"It was heartbreaking," said Leland Gordon, head of animal services. The house was filthy, with a strong smell of urine and feces. Many dogs had health issues.

The Winnipeg Humane Society is now providing care for the dogs. "It will be costly to get them ready for adoption," said CEO Jessica Miller.

No charges have been filed yet, but officials plan to enforce city bylaws.
