Since 2019, True North Sports + Entertainment and United Way Winnipeg have turned fan excitement into meaningful community contributions, totaling over $312,000 to date. This year’s donations will help organizations like Main Street Project and Siloam Mission continue their vital work, showcasing the incredible community spirit of Winnipeg.

Manitoba Métis Federation Investments in Downtown

This move is part of MMF’s ongoing efforts to revitalize the area, with over $100 million invested in downtown real estate and development in the past six years. The MMF aims to boost the local economy by bringing more employees and activities to the heart of Winnipeg.
MMF President David Chartrand encourages other businesses and government entities to join in this revitalization effort, ensuring a vibrant future for downtown Winnipeg.
City to Vote on $95M Biosolids Facility Contract
As reported by Kayla Rosen of CTV News, Winnipeg is set to vote on a $95 million contract for a new biosolids facility at the North End Sewage Treatment Plant. The proposed facility, recommended to be built by Red River Biosolids Partners, will process wastewater into nutrient-rich biosolids. This project is part of a larger budget aimed at improving the city’s sewage treatment capabilities, with over $900 million still available. The decision was delayed for further consideration of economic impacts and concerns about local job opportunities.
