A Message From Paris Cosmetology

The Easiest Way to Get Your Skin Ready for Summer
Summer’s coming up, and that’s usually when we want to feel our best.
And when it comes to your skin, the biggest difference doesn’t come from just one facial…
It comes from consistency.
That’s why Paris Cosmetology just introduced their new facial memberships, designed to help you stay on a routine while saving on treatments over time.
Instead of booking appointments here and there, it gives you a more consistent approach, with regular treatments that help improve hydration, texture, and overall skin health as the seasons change.
Here’s what that looks like:
Exclusive savings on facials year-round, so you’re not paying full price each visit
A consistent skincare routine that helps with hydration, texture, and glow
Flexible options, whether you’re new to facials or already going regularly
The membership applies to all medical-grade facials, so you can choose the treatments that best fit your skin.
So if you’ve been wanting to get your skin ready for summer and feeling your best, this is a simple way to stay consistent.

Winnipeg Class Teaches Dads How To Style Their Kids’ Hair

Source: @lyrenmakeupartistry
This might be one of the most wholesome things happening in Winnipeg right now.
A local Winnipeg class called Beers and Braids is helping dads learn how to do their kids’ hair, whether it’s for school, dance, or everyday routines. It’s simple, but it goes a long way.
The class, led by @lyrenmakeupartistry, focuses on easy, practical styles dads can actually use at home.
Here’s what makes it so great:
Learn how to do ponytails, braids, and buns
All tools are provided, so you can just show up and learn alongside other dads
Includes a scrunchie to take home for your child
And a relaxed setting with a pint included, making it easy and fun
The next session is happening on June 3 at Sookram’s Brewing Co., and spots are already filling up.
So if you or someone you know would enjoy a fun night learning how to braid, click the link below to learn how to sign up for the next class!
P.S. Share this with any dads you know who would love to learn something new for their kids!

Winnipeg Jets Remain In The Playoff Race After Big Win
The push for a playoff spot is heating up for the Jets.
After a strong 6–2 win against the Seattle Kraken, Winnipeg is still right in the mix for a playoff spot in the Western Conference wild-card race.
The team has now won four of their last five games, building momentum at an important point in the season. Big performances from players like Kyle Connor and Mark Scheifele helped lead the way in this win.
Right now, the Jets sit just three points behind a wild-card spot, with only a handful of games left to play.
That means every game from here on out really matters.
And if they can keep this momentum going, there’s a real chance we could see the Whiteout back in Winnipeg this year.

Scott Oake To Retire From Hockey Night In Canada After Playoffs

Source: Sportsnet
Staying on the topic of hockey, this season also marks the end of an era for a familiar face many fans have grown up watching.
Scott Oake, a longtime Winnipeg broadcaster, has announced he’ll be retiring from Hockey Night in Canada after this season’s playoffs, closing out a career that’s spanned more than 30 years on the show.
His final broadcast is scheduled for April 11, making these next few games his last on the national stage.
If you’ve watched hockey over the years, chances are you’ve seen him. Known for his calm presence and thoughtful interviews, he’s been part of so many of the game’s biggest moments.
And beyond the rink, his impact runs even deeper. He founded the Bruce Oake Recovery Centre in Winnipeg, helping support people and families in the community.
For many fans, he’s been part of the game as much as the players themselves, which makes this goodbye feel a little more personal.

Last Call for Dinner Club
Let me be honest with you.
Over 300 Winnipeggers have done Dinner Club. Most of them showed up nervous.
By dessert, they were making group chats with people they had met two hours earlier. That's not an exaggeration. It happens every single time.
Here's the deal right now.
We have two locations open for April 15:
Osborne Village and the Exchange District.
You take a quick quiz. We match you with a small group of people based on your interests. You show up at a local restaurant (we reveal the spot the morning of).
And you have a real dinner with real people who actually want to connect.
That's it. No awkward networking. No forced icebreakers. Just good food and good conversation with people who live in your city.
But here's the thing. We don't know which neighbourhoods will be available next time. Osborne and the Exchange might not be options again. So if either of those spots sounds like your kind of night, this is your window.
Seats are limited, and once a group fills up, it's done.
